Precision Machining, Done In-House

Machining is the foundation of everything we build. At Maine Source Machining, our CNC milling and turning capabilities are fully integrated with inspection, programming, and secondary operations—allowing us to deliver accurate, repeatable parts with dependable lead times.

From one-off components to production runs, we machine with intent, precision, and accountability.

CNC Milling Capabilities

Our CNC milling operations support a wide range of part sizes, geometries, and tolerances.

  • CNC Vertical Machining Center — Leadwell VMC with 20" × 40" work envelope

  • Ideal for precision components, fixtures, and machined features requiring consistency and accuracy

With in-house programming and inspection, parts move efficiently from setup to completion without unnecessary delays.

CNC Turning Capabilities

We offer dedicated CNC turning capacity for precision cylindrical components and repeatable production work.

  • (2) 2-Axis CNC Lathes — DMC DL22 with 8" chucks

  • 2-Axis CNC Turning — DMC DL8TH / Bobcat 200 with 8" chuck & Royal collet system

These machines allow us to hold tight tolerances on shafts, bushings, threaded components, and custom turned parts—whether for prototypes or ongoing production.

Programming, Inspection & Quality Control

Accuracy doesn’t stop at the machine.

  • CAD / CAM programming performed in-house

  • Programmable CMM inspection for dimensional verification and repeatability

By keeping programming and inspection internal, we maintain control over quality and reduce the risk of errors or rework.

Secondary & Manual Operations

To support complete part delivery, we offer a range of secondary and manual machining operations.

  • Production tapping & reaming using Flex Arm systems

  • Manual milling machines for fixtures, modifications, and custom operations

These capabilities allow us to finish parts completely and efficiently without outsourcing.

Machining Integrated with Fabrication

Our machining department works hand-in-hand with welding, laser cutting, forming, and finishing—under one roof.

This integrated approach means:

  • Fewer handoffs

  • Better fit and alignment between machined and welded features

  • Shorter lead times

  • One team accountable for the final result

Your parts are machined with the full manufacturing process in mind—not in isolation.

Built for Precision, Not Promises

We don’t rely on vague claims or buzzwords. Our machining processes are built around real equipment, experienced machinists, and quality checks that ensure parts meet specifications the first time.

If you need a machining partner that values accuracy, communication, and follow-through, we’re ready to support your next project.
